Sacramento, CA - On Friday, Governor Newsom announced a new inclusivity initiative in which California would now honor anyone who identifies as someone who lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces. "If someone says they died storming the beaches in Normandy or Guadalcanal -- then they DID die storming those beaches. To discount their truth and personal lived experience is to subject them to the horrors' of being killed in combat all over again" said Newsom at a press event. Critics of this initiative are pointing to the The Stolen Valor Act of 2013, which makes it illegal to use false claims of military service to get money, property, employment, or other benefits. but proponents of this initiative are already taking steps to mitigate this concern. Sarah Goldenhersh, a spokesperson for the ACLU said "we are offering free legal council to anyone who identifies as someone who lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces regardless of if you actually served in the armed forces, and regardless of it you obviously did not die."

Los Angeles, CA - As UCLA and other schools experience extended protests and encampments, some professors are starting to wonder if they are at all responsible for the racial hatred that is permeating throughout U.S. college campuses. The most notable example comes from UCLA Anti-Racism Professor Max Steinberg, who is best know for his books "How to end whiteness" and "We can replace them". On a recent podcast he said the following "at first I thought I was being targeted because -- maybe they thought I was white -- I even went back and deleted all of the -- you know, "my fellow whites" style tweets -- but then I finally realized they were targeting me because I am Jewish." He went on to say "and maybe it was because I had never had that -- you know -- lived experience before, but it made we wonder if maybe the fact that my entire career has been spent radicalizing students to hate people based on their race -- maybe I am part of the problem?"

Washington, DC - A foreign lobbyist group that is only interested in making life better for everyday Americans and definitely not engaged in electioneering, plans to spend big on television ads aimed at Kentucky congressman Thomas Massie because of his perceived America-first views. The United Democracy Project will spend about $300,000 to buy ads on Fox affiliates criticizing Republican Rep. The United Democracy Project is an affiliate of AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a major foreign lobbying group that spends millions of dollars every year on political advocacy that make life better for everyday Americans. "Rep. Massie and all of his constituents who oppose foreign aid for Israel are anti-American. In fact, the United States was founded on the Judeo-Christian value of unlimited foreign aid to Israel" said AIPAC spokesperson Benjamin Bloomstein. He went on to say that "if he [Rep. Massie] continues to vote in the interest of his racist anti-American constituents this will be the first of many ad buys."

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) announced on Tuesday that they would be lifting their long standing ban on "minor attracted persons" becoming Camp Counselors. The new policy will go into effect on Feb. 8, 2025, for the youth organization’s 115th anniversary. “For decades, minor attracted people have been victimized by our culture and by our laws. We can no longer be a part of that problem,” James Cohen, Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer of The Boy Scouts of America (BSA), said in a statement. “This will be a simple but very important evolution as we seek to ensure that everyone feels welcome in Scouting.” And according to Julia Weinberg, Chief HR Officer of The Boy Scouts of America (BSA), they are not just waiving the ban but will be adjusting their hiring practices to prioritize minor-attracted persons. In a statement she said, "we believe that by 2030 more than half of all Camp Counselors will be minor attracted persons or come from other marginalized communities. " The announcement was made on Tuesday at the Texas-based organization’s annual meeting in Florida. The change follows decades of turmoil for the youth organization, which agreed to a $2.4 billion bankruptcy settlement earlier this year in the wake of sexual abuse allegations from thousands of individuals. More than 80,000 men filed claims against the organization, alleging they were abused as children by leaders across the nation. The BSA sought bankruptcy protection in February 2020 as it was named in an estimated 275 lawsuits. The $2.46 billion bankruptcy reorganization plan began last year, despite a temporary pause earlier this year, and has allowed the organization to continue its programs while compensating the thousands of victims.

The House of Representatives passed a bill on Wednesday aimed at addressing reports of rising antisemitism on college campuses, where activists angered by Israel's war against Hamas have been protesting for months and more recently set up encampments on campus grounds. The Antisemitism Awareness Act would see the adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's definition of antisemitism for the enforcement of federal anti-discrimination laws regarding education programs. The bill passed with a 320-91 vote. Seventy Democrats and 21 Republicans voted against the measure. This bill's passing was met with a variety of opinions. Many on the grassroots right and left view the bill as an attack on free speech. But surprisingly, there are some on the conservative side of the aisle who do not think the bill goes far enough. Conservative commentator and founder of The Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro, informed his audience on Thursday that he would be appearing before congress to ask them to consider expanding the detention of antisemitism stating, "I personally think this bill is a great start, but it simply does not go far enough. As I've said, Hamas runs the white house. This is why one of the most vile antisemitic phrases of our time -- Christ is King -- was not included in this bill." He also mentioned that "bills like this are essential to combat dangerous bigots like Tucker Carlson."
